On March 2, 2007, when webdunia conducted a discussion forum with bloggers, I raised some questions.
. അഡ്വ. സക്കീന Says:March 2nd, 2007 at 9:11 pm
"Since there is an agreement between yahoo and webdunia and webdunia is acting as their agent for india, will yahoo not be accountable for your actions?
In that case how can they claim that they are notresponsible. Can you explain?
And what is your stand towards the blogger whose contents you have stolen?
Saying just that you done something in goodfaith will not abstain you from the responsibility of providing compensation".
This is my opinion.
And they answered as follows:
Message for Blogspot Sukkon.Webdunia has been appointed by Yahoo India to provide content for their Indian language channels including Malayalam.
Under the agreement, Webdunia is responsible for all the content that is provided by Webdunia on the language channels.
Webdunia is not an agent of Yahoo! India but only provides content for which it is responsible. Therefore, for this inadvertent use of content, Webdunia has taken up responsibility to address the issue. Webdunia is open to resolving the matter amicably to mutual satisfaction with the original contributor".
Accordingly, webdunia is ready to settle the issue amicably with the original contributor.
So far as the action of Yahoo or webdunia is against the common interest of bloggers, I also join and express my protest against those inceidents happened to the blogs of Su and others.
